Good Morning Green Smoothie

Putting greens into a blender can sound a bit intimidating and gross, but trust me, green smoothies are a great way to get your fruits and vegetables in one shot. Plus, it’s tasty. I’ve added chia seeds. These tiny seeds are a great source of omega 3’s. Play around with your favorite fruits and veggies. Remember you can try what you have on hand. Have fun with it!

Ingredients
1-1 1/4 cups almond milk
2 cups of spinach or kale leaves (if you are using kale, make sure to take out the rough stem in the middle)
1 banana
1 T chia seeds (available at health food stores or in the natural foods aisle in most grocery stores)
handful of blueberries
2-3strawberries
Ice (optional)

Method
Place chia seeds, spinach or kale, banana, blueberries, and strawberries in a blender. Pour in almond milk. Blend on high for 1-1 1/2 minutes. Add ice and blend again. If this is too thick, you can add more almond milk or ice to thin it out. Enjoy!
