Monsignor Donovan High School is the only Roman Catholic High School in Ocean County. The school offers a Catholic learning community seeking truth through faith, service and scholarship. The Catholic community of Monsignor Donovan High School educates its students to live their faith, respect and serve others, and pursue academic excellence in a college preparatory environment. To fulfill this mission, the school provides a strong curriculum that includes a wide range of subjects, recognizes various ability levels, and nurtures students' curiosity and creativity.

The athletic teams compete in the Shore Conference in the following sports: football, soccer, baseball, hockey, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, softball, lacrosse, tennis, golf, wrestling, track and field, sailing, bowling and cross country running.
