Since its founding in the late 19th century, the Academy has provided a well-rounded educational experience. Advanced Placement programs are available in calculus, chemistry, English, US History and foreign languages, and Honors programs in each major academic discipline. Students may earn advance college credits by participating in a program at the College of Saint Elizabeth or Project Acceleration with Seton Hall University, as well as other cooperative programs with area colleges and universities.
Beyond the classroom, students have plenty of opportunity for development. Student Council, Peer Tutoring, Newspaper, Literary Magazine, Yearbook, Forensics, Mock Trial, Science Club, Language Clubs, Math Club, Service Club, and Swimming club, as well as a multitude of state or national writing and composition competitions during the course of the year are part of the Academy of Saint Elizabeth experience.
A singular distinction at the Academy is its foreign travel program. For almost thirty years the girls have traveled for two weeks at Easter to virtually every major city in Europe.
